Extended Unemployment Benefits

Unemployment extension is available to workers who have already run out of federal funded unemployment benefits. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has already allowed high unemployment states to provide up to 13 to 20 weeks of additional extended unemployment benefits. This means the unemployed people may get extra 13 to 20 weeks of unemployment benefits. The National Employment Law Project (NELP) has already explained this option in detail.

Please look at the following Q&A PDF about the details of extended unemployment benefits.
